Around the world in 120 days with MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises, the world’s third largest and fastest growing cruise brand has wished bon voyage to guests aboard MSC Poesia and MSC Magnifica as the two ships departed from Genoa in Italy for simultaneous cruises around the world in 120 days – an industry first. For the first time the two MSC ships departed simultaneously for a 4-month journey to discover 50 of the most beautiful destinations on the planet.

Sailing together for the start of the cruises, the two ships will part ways at the edge of the Mediterranean for different routes around the globe. Guests will discover the world without having to repack their suitcase during their unforgettable 119-day voyage onboard MSC Magnifica and 117-day trip onboard MSC Poesia.

MSC Magnifica will make 43 stops in 117 days. She will circumnavigate South America, cross the South Pacific Ocean and continue to the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea and then return to the Mediterranean via the spectacular Suez Canal. Stops in Puerto Madryn (Argentina), Ushuaia (Argentina), Punta Arenas (Chile), Puerto Montt (Chile), Valparaiso (Chile), Callao/Lima (Peru), Hanga Roa /Rapa Nui (Chile), Rarotonga (Cook Islands ), Auckland (New Zealand), Tauranga (New Zealand), Sydney (Australia), Mare (New Caledonia), Lifou Island (New Caledonia), Port Vila (Vanuatu), Alotau (Papua New Guinea), Cairns (Australia), Lombok (Indonesia), Port Klang, (Kuala Lumpur/Malaysia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Mumbai/Bombai (India), Aqaba/Petra (Jordan).

MSC Poesia, on the other hand, will touch 53 ports in 119 days. It will pass through the Panama Canal and travel along the western coast of Central and North America, continuing on to the Pacific Ocean and spending an extended period in Asia. Crossing the Indian Ocean, the ship will then return to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal.

Not only will guests get to visit some of the world most spectacular destinations during their cruise, but they will also be able to discover the world through their palate.
