Considered the jewel of the Adriatic Sea Riviera, Grottammare lies at the heart of the Riviera Picena of the Palms and is embellished by a coastline of fine sand, by the sea transparent, by green palm trees and the white and pink oleanders in flower.
There are many bike paths that run along the beach for 15 km, close to the sea, between bars and markets, that allow you to take a nice bike rides by day, or a scenic walks, illuminated and cooled by sea breezes in the evening. Heading south you can admire S. Benedetto del Tronto with its exotic promenade of palms and its botanical gardens on the beach. Towards north instead, always from the promenade, you can see the famous home (Villini Liberty) of the firsts of 1900, with their typical gardens and charming decorated towers. The historic center of Grottammare is one of Italy’s most beautiful ancient villages, picturesque and panoramic overlooking the sea.
Grottammare is also the ideal starting point for visiting the medieval towns of Ascoli Piceno, the city of Offida the ‘Travertine Stone’ city, the villages of Ripatransone or Acquaviva, home of typical summer market.
